... You can tell that these states do care about their people and leave everything open for them to enjoy. I know we surely did enjoy every moment we spent here. Hmmmmmmmmm, maybe this is a place to consider settling!!!!
We leave Oregon for northern California in the morning. Our first stop will be Crescent City in the midst of the giant redwoods. Can't wait.
Hope everyone is well. Love to you all.
... sunset. Of course, it didn't take long for the kids to get naked, soaked and cold but it was well worth it!
Oh, and good news. I got in touch with Seaquest National Park and learned that my wallet had been found and returned. The campsite is full, but I was told to show up and hope for the best. Guess we know where were stopping on the way back.
... the trip may have provided just enough time and introduction to, and you can spend your time doing other things if the opportunity ever exists to return in the future. I have taken several of these tours now, and each one has provided a sort of overview and introduction to the area I am traveling in. Many of the places, I now feel more comfortable in traveling to on my own, and maybe even sharing with other people.
Another thing ...
It felt good getting back on the bike after two Trans continental and trans Atlantic crossings in a few days.
Arrived back in Eugene then decided to ride to the coast again for the trip south to San Francisco.
That was a mistake.
First off, I planned an off road course to the coast, but it is logging season in Oregon and all my routes were blocked with lumber. ...
... a day honoring the Civil War Vets that moved to Bandon after the war. Even though this area was not directly involved in the war a lot of history was brought here by those veterans. We spent three months last year traveling the South and parts of the North during the sesquicentennial (150 year) anniversary of the War Between the States. We love learning of our nation's history. Should be an interesting day.
