The sound of music is not what you think it is. Salzburg is the birthplace of Mozart and everywhere you go his music being played from busking ensembles to background music on audio guides. It is beautiful, not that I know much about it. I will have to investigate more. The house where he lived with his family for seven years is now a museum. A number of his original instruments are on display including his violin and ...

... it wasn't. Then back in the car headed for the alps. We stopped in Berchtesgarden to look around. We stopped for coffee and ice cream. Pat and Stefani will return tomorrow to go the the 'Eagles Nest' and the salt mines. Continued driving to Salzburg only to find out our hotel reservations had been given away because we had to be there by 6. With difficulty we found another hotel. Regrouped and out for dinner. God is the best tour ...

    ... reason to come back!

We rounded everyone up, and headed back to the train station. On the train, everyone was exhausted from all the activity and extreme heat (and luckily the air conditioning was working again!). My plan was to sleep as much as I could on the 3 hour train ride back, and use the remaining time to read. I felt like I had been sleeping for days, but I checked the time after I woke up, and it was only 45 minutes, and I was wide awake. I had ...
