The Gold Coast it isn't
... is that it is only an half hours drive to the Ferry terminal in Cairnryan, where we will be catching the ferry tomorrow to Ireland. Looking forward to it. So not much to tell this time except that all is going well, Charlie is neat as a pin for her next stage both inside and out and ready to go. Hopefully it will not be too rough for her, she doesn't do rough seas.

Ferry to Scotland
... stations? The cinema? Nah, probably the five lounges, mini-casino or day spa. Can't decide.
It was the first time I got an actual back massage, though. And I think a guy was chilling in the hot tub the entire trip. The pictures tell the story.
We eventually pulled into Scotland and made the bus trip up to Glasgow, passing some neat ruins as we went.

... is now dead or alive is still a mystery but a bigger mystery is why one would sit down in one's living room and stare at the back of 2 photo frames instead of looking at the picture?
Anyhow, Irishisms aside, its grey, drizzling and damp but I sense that is the norm for here. A last trip to the Hospital to see if Granny Belle has hidden any more medical items in a bag of sweets and to say goodbye. One more trip to see some family and then off to Stena Line ...
Day 179 - 26 August - Edinburgh and then the coast

... something awful. When we were there I wished for less mountainous terrain but I quickly realized that I love the Highlands. As Robert Burns poem so rightly states, "My heart’s in the Highlands, my heart’s not here….my heart’s in the Highlands a’chasing the deer…." Paul told me that he learned this poem in 5th grade.
