    ... meant chipping in with the family business...NO slacking allowed! And years later I realized just how important it was that he instilled this work ethic in us! No wonder I ended up working in sales operations. Seeing dad selling out of his addicting homemade pies and cookies was such a joy. At 75 years old he’s doing what he loves and it’s an example to never give up on that!

    ... wonderful, dear friends here in Illinois have been so great to us...we feel very lucky to have friends in both places.

    Bob and I wish each and every one of you a glorious and joyful holiday season! Make the time to celebrate the joys in each day and to show the love you have for your family and friends.

    ... can be a fickle and tumultuous beast; and its either smooth sailing or creeping traffic jams, so there is no telling what you are going to encounter on any particular day.

    Hence, my mother's earlier advice of trying to be on the road by 7:30.

    ... ve all heard nothing but the sob stories of how devoid of food my house generally is bahaa!). Though I've since been banned from the Bears games cause I jinxed them, but nonetheless, they'll forgive me soon enough.. maybe.. yeaaaaaaaaaaaaah no.





    UPDATE: Also worth mentioning, we went & visited the World's first McDonalds! Apparently the worlds largest fast-food chain ...

    ... and yet after 3 separate visits i still yearn for you. El famous burrito....ye of the tortilla the size of a child's tent and salsas hot enough to put hair on a mans chest, you did not disappoint me my old friend. cheesecake factory and maggianos, Luke's hot dogs and by far the best Chinese buffet on the continent......so much good food and good company.
