... the hike we had planned for and there, we drove onto into the central portion of the park and set up our camp on the shores of Lewey Lake. I could tell that there was a great deal of history and emotion here for Shar. That usually means that it was a place that she and Andy shared and enjoyed together. We decided to have our engine parts shipped and we got a 10 day pass for the lock system: a whopping $37.50!! We moved down to Fort Edward at Lock #7 for a few nights. There is free power and water, as well as bathroom and showers. No internet though- we walked over a half hour to McDonald's in the new section of town to get internet. The town has some ...

I don't think I have seen so many buildings that I felt I really needed to take pictures of in so ...

Apparently this is not normal even for hot humid days- the fogginess is being blamed on the smoke in the air from the fires in Washington. Not long into our journey we passed the deepest part of the lake- we saw over 400 feet. A big difference from Mako's usual sailing area!! We wound down past the ...

Paddling with Otto and Milo on the Hudson

... we finally saw the take-out spot. Milo had been anxiously looking for it for quite awhile. He did a good job though for a nine-year-old since he paddled his new kayak all by himself the whole time. Once we had loaded my kayak onto my car and all our stuff into it, I told Otto how lucky we were - since I actually had my car key with me this time. He didn't think it was such a special deal, but it could ...
