Last stop was to see the Hess Collection museum and tasting of the Hess wine.

I just love the typewriter with the real flames.

We got to Napa hot n sweaty after a long drive stuck on i80. Not much to say really, the place is a ghost town, so much for it being a 'must do'. Our friend, Paul ("The Wine Guy"), had arranged a private tour of Grgich Hills Estate for us. Myles was our guide, and he began by telling us some of the history of this benchmark Napa Valley wine estate. Maljenko Grgich, Hall of Fame vintner, is one of those responsible for helping put Napa Valley ...

HALL Rutherford was our next destination. An appointment only winery, Hall really embodied exclusivity and prestige. Our major complaint was that this guy talked so much and was putting us to sleep, but that could have also been due to the wine. The underground cave storing the wines was extraordinary, and truly a unique experience. Joanna particularly loved the chandelier, an upside ...
