          Di Rosa laughable art

The Di Rosa Art trust is not far away. You can only see the exhibitions and grounds through a pre booked tour - we heard at 10am that we were on the 11am tour so we jumped in the car and got there just in time. This is a private exhibition of the works of Northern Californian artists from 1950's onwards. Di Rosa liked art that was fun and that made people laugh or at least made then have a reaction. He didn't want to label the art as he thought that ...

The group were having a bonfire this evening which they kept quiet from Richard and Linda because there's no alcohol allowed on the ranch and they were planning on having a drink. Myself and Jessie were meant to be joining them but Richard started telling us stories that lasted two hours which was probably for the best because we've only been here a night and don't feel the need for a strong drink just ...

It was a pleasant, interesting drive past attractive lakes and rolling grassy farmland. The wide open spaces and the brown colour of the grass reminded us a bit of South Africa. As ...

Last stop was to see the Hess Collection museum and tasting of the Hess wine.

I just love the typewriter with the real flames.

A short tour was done as well.

Our friend, Paul ("The Wine Guy"), had arranged a private tour of Grgich Hills Estate for us. Myles was our guide, and he began by telling us some of the history of this benchmark Napa Valley wine estate. Maljenko Grgich, Hall of Fame vintner, is one of those responsible for helping put Napa Valley ...
