    We had a great run from Oxford to Solomons this morning. Flat calm / sunny
    about 75-80 and I think it was Gary's first good pot of coffee. We also saw our first Pelican.
    This is a 1 week stop for us; I have to work and the cell connection here is great.

    ... Roy’s sister Lavonne works during the summer months when school is out. She was able to join in on the back 9 and I went along as photographer and scorekeeper. The best part of this day was catching up with one of Roy’s old buddies, Boo Brown, who also works at the golf course. Those two clearly had some fun back in the day and based on the stories they shared it’s a wonder they avoided getting locked up!

    Last day. We drove from Pittsburgh to Antietam battlefield in Maryland. We toured the fields, a cemetery and Burnside Bridge. It was a much bigger place than I imagined, and a somber place when you reflect on the fact 23,000 people died here in a single day. Wednesday seems to be calling for lesser winds so we will try and get to Annapolis and do some shopping, laundry etc. We passed by Smith Point Lighthouse and then passed a spot where the US Airforce takes practice shots from the air.
