      ... a rushing, pushing, *******, belching crowd, mostly excited to be heading out on a holiday somewhere. Old mate in CUstoms takes my Passport, trying to engage me in conversation, but poor bugger doesn't know I'm not that friendly early in the day. Then I get the full body scan, via the machine, why did they select me - perhaps old mate said "pick that cranky *******" for the scan.
      A quick breakfast and coffee and then off to find gate 61.
      No celebrities spotted ...

      ... bus driver then just took us straight to Patong Beach instead of continuing the tour, but the boys didn't mind as it allowed them more shopping time there. After dinner on the beach, the boys spent a couple of hours shopping. We then when for a "gentle" stroll along the (in)famous Bangla Rd, with its Ladyboys, touts, and animals. Bangla Rd is synonymous with Phuket and is arguably the tourist hub of the island (as Koh San Rd is in Bangkok).
