    Noto, bene!

We woke up a little earlier today to make the hour long trip to Noto, famous for its Baroque architecture, almonds and the gelateria that purportedly makes the best ice-cream in the world! I have to bribe the girls with either the promise of shopping or something nice to eat if I expect them to traipse through Duomo after Duomo, or climb unendingly steep hills in search of castles and mosaics. I cunningly kept the address of Gelateria Costanza until the end of our visit, ...

Another spectacular and most enjoyable day seeing new things. We are very glad that we have come to ...

A local randomly showed me the most unexpected and unheard of places, and ended the day with another traveller who conversationally gave me a preview of what life could be like 20 years hence. It is like stumbling into the shadows, the secrets of a place and landscapes of the mind.

... lucky to have what we did. Had a casual dinner in the Piazza del Duomo while we admired Catane Fontana dell Elefanti. Poked our noses through a guarded arch to discover carriages on display. Watched wedding photos being taken and ongoing life in Piazza Del Duomo. The Duomo itself was, as expected, very impressive, as were so many other churches and stately buildings in the area.
