The staff at Villa Moorings was so helpful and pleasant during our stay--from arranging transportation to suggesting restaurants...they even made arrangements for me when an unexpected medical need arose.
The B&B was beautiful, clean and quiet, the view from our room was great, and the breakfast was excellent!
The customer service and hospitality were greatly appreciated--and a welcome change from other experiences we had while in Italy...
Tuscan Hills
The drive from Venice to Tuscany was eventful (as always). First we wanted to see the Adriatic Sea.. We knew we were near the coast but finding a road which led to the sea was not so easy… even our sat nav lady Shirley couldn’t seem to find the sea… all we wanted was enough sea to put the feet in and say we had been to the Adriatic Sea… please note wet feet in venice the day before could not be counted as Adriatic Sea ...

A group of women formed a small choir and sang songs during parts of the ceremony and they sounded great with the reverberations in the relatively small chapel.
The archbishop blessed the chapel with holy water and, of course there were numerous speeches. Joanne explained how she came, on behalf of ...
... 8217;s beautiful and interesting. The cobbled streets are quite narrow and the people were generally very friendly and laid-back. We strolled around the Military Academy and found a beautiful park where we hung out for quite awhile, watching people and enjoying the landscaping.
Lunch at Danilo was also very good. Joanne had tortellini but it looked like raviolis to me. I tasted it and it was great! I ...

It's not like anything we get in England, it's a very light, fluffy bread base, a bit like fried bread on the bottom but not as greasy and heaps of topping. It seems to be the norm to have 2 slices which they then sandwich, faces together and serve ...
Modena, Italy laineebee... the water was comparable to Florida or Cancun. It was however a little chilly. Natalie got in for a minute, but I took a nap under an umbrella. It was fabulous! Tonight we are taking a train into La Spezia, a bigger town about 10 min away from here to get some information about our trains to Switzerland tomorrow. We are planning to head out early in the morning if we can, so we can find our hotel in Switzerland before it ...
Montorroso, Italy monnat07... introduction in a presentation room was the component processing area. Here in a very new and spacious building the employees were producing crank shafts, cylinder heads and cylinder blocks, with the factory floor also home to a dazzling collection of classic Ferrari models from various eras – intended to be an inspiration to the workers of the finished masterpieces they are each playing a part in creating.

Cinque Terre might be the most beautiful place on Earth but I cannot be sure of this as I have not traveled all over the world yet. It is on the North Western coast of Italy and consists of five little cities that are all connected ...

Back on the bus! This time to Italy!! We went to Pisa (and had pizza for lunch!) We saw the tower, of course, and the church. Got to shop in the souvenir shops and sit for awhile in the sun. Very peaceful day. I can tell I'm getting tired, because the travel journal entries are shorter and shorter!
We were in ...
