... and checked into the hostel that we booked which turned out to be really cool. The guys were friendly and gave us plenty of tips and ideas of what to do while we were here, including a full day bike tour which we planned to do the next day. We set off at 9am on bikes that cost us 80 pesos each, so about $7 and followed our mud map around the 28km loop that took us through tiny towns, quiet back streets and beautiful cenotes. ...

... while to get to a OXXO shop for water and a farmacia for sunscreen, the sunscreen was 5 times what you would pay anywhere else in Mexico and the water was double the price. It was very hot walking around in the sun and there was lots of iguanas just getting about on the nature strip in front of the big hotels. The big resorts and hotels in the hotel zone look pretty good and if I wanted a short 1 or 2 week vacation in a luxury resort I would be in one for sure, ...
