... Duomo stop. I had no idea what a Duomo was until I climbed up the stairs, exiting the underground passageway.

There it stood, in all its lofty, magnificent glory, towering above me. The Milano Duomo felt like it was thousands of feet high and I was just nothing but a mere ant at the base. The details of the articheture was dizzying and unbelievable.

Today we made our half day tour if milan by the skin of our teeth (literally!) to visit La Scala (famous opera house). Was very unassuming outside but gorgeous inside, walked through the quadrikatero (golden quad) where Europe's ONLY 7 STAR hotel resides (lol, you look out the window and have a wonderful view of Maccas!!!), the duoma and then onwards to Leonardo Da Vinci's famous last supper. ... m hoping there is a lot more to do there since we’re all feeling a little let down by Italy right now =(. In other news, we’ve decided to explore the island of Ios in Greece (all booked up!) for some heavy partying!! However, that will not be until August and I sure hope Italy lives up to its name soon!!!
