Our trip to Milano got a late start--not our fault. The high speed train, Frecciarossa, was delayed over an hour due to some political rumblings/rallies in Bologna.

... the Milano station looking without success so we ask a platform official and he says no office in the station, have to go to Duomo Square, about 2 kms away. We find that a bit odd so ask another official, and they say it's 2 floors down. That's more like, so we go down the 2 floors but, no tourist office on that floor. We ask someone else and they say it's up 1 floor. Again we follow their directions, and again no information office. Eventually I ask ...

... and Suze ordered spirits and mixers! We toasted the end of the tour and had a bit of a chat, and then our bills arrived! Ours was a reasonable (for Milan) €12, but Den turned a whiter shade of pale when his came to €26.50 - which is about $39!!! Bloody hell! That's expensive drinks! Especially as the prices in the other places have been pretty reasonable!
So with that sting in the tail, it was off to bed - tomorrow we can sleep in as late as we wish - our flight ...
