We had a relatively quiet start to this morning as our walking tour did not start until 10.30. This gave us time to shower, pack, breakfast, vibes mums ( mum S was not answering) and Bethany. It is lovely to hear some news from home. We arrived punctually as that's how we roll and the guide did not turn up. A few others were there waiting as well. ... it, so they recommended a cafe further along the lakeside. 20 minutes walk later, we were sitting there, drinking our coffees and cokes, and watching the swans and ducks on the lake. A short walk further to the next ferry stop - and the heavens opened again, only this time it was torrential. Once on the ferry we could barely see the shore!

We reached Como at about 5pm, and checked into our hotel. That left us time to walk down to the quay, have a drink at a cafe popular with the local sparrows, and wend our way to a delightful restaurant round the corner from the hotel. ... from flying machines, submarines, mobile bridges, cranes, multi-canon tanks to musical instruments. It also included interactive screen displays about restoration of paintings including the Last Supper. This is well worth seeing if it comes to a place near you.

I stayed in the city centre for the Dinner and Kerrie bravely negotiated the Metro home by herself.

... to Milan at 9:00am itself and the apartment that we had booked was not available till 10:00am for check in, so we whiled away a little more time at the central station with a quick breakfast of sandwiches and coffee.
