... this tremendous cacophony....sounded like a stack of drunken Bulgarians playing a piano accordion........second thought, they could be the Bachelors from Prague!!

I have been chasing a particular pair of shoes that we saw in Beziers (didn't have my size), since then we have visited the same store in Pau and Limoges with the same result, 3rd time lucky I was hoping.

Arrived at the San Marina shop on Blvd St.Michel - sadly same story again.

... depicting a person going under the road to the Arc.......this lead us almost entirely around the perimeter of the laneless motorway until finally we found more stairs leading downwards. But this was an entirely fruitless expedition as the cost for going back up stairs to the Arc, let alone climb to the top of it was too much, not to mention a 30 m queue! So.....we went back to where we started! By this time a beer and some alcoholic refreshments ...
