... caught the 8pm ferry across to Naples because it worked out cheaper and quicker than driving back through Sicily and up the boot of Italy. We were supposed to arrive at 8am, only to be awoken from our cabin at 06h00 because we'd made good time during the night. It was then onto Barrea in the mountains!

... On our last night in Palermo we decided to have tiramisu, we had been planning it for about 4 days. That’s what happens when you travel, things like what day to have dessert are big decisions.
