... catch the bus at the station right away I assume that the minivans go regularly to our beach. Still I am asking the driver and he tells me 4.30 pm is the last bus but they run hourly. There's nothing much to report on the journey home. Chatted with my (new) neighbour who expressed more than a passing interest in visiting England. I drew up a list of places outside London he and his family should go to. Was quite fun taking on a tourist perspective of back home.

... but as soon as I pulled up in the enormous yellow catamaran ferry I could see it was nothing like it. There were proper roads, cars and hotels everywhere - although nothing like the gaudy skyline of Cancun and Playa del Carmen. Still, it seemed like a pretty nice place. I checked into the Pocna Hostel and walked down to check out the main swimming beach, Playa Norte. It looked amazing - white sand, blue water, lots of free umbrellas and deck chairs. ... Lagunamar is an excellent property. The pool is literally an acre. Half has a negative edge so it looks like it is part of the ocean. Our 2 bedroom 2 bath reservation ended up being a large 1 bedroom with full kitchen and an attached studio with a kitchette. Total is maybe 1300 square feet and a great setup for the four of us.
Warm illumination precedes waves of clarity and sweet saltwater breezes that fill the soul with complete peace. The beauty of these moments are unspeakable and cannot be replaced.
Cancun is an amazing place and well worth the wait. I will be back!
