Historical Traveler Reviews B&B Luciano Pascucci Rome

Luciano & Ana Pascucci - The hosts who became our "family"!!

from anonymous

My husband and I stayed in Rome during the Roman Summer Vacation last year, it was amazing! We travelled for over 5 months (from England, Scotland, France, Italy, Turkey, Syria, Jordon, & Egypt) and found Rome one of only a couple of places that we will DEFINITELY go back to visit.

This experience was only made possible because of our hosts at B&B Pascucci - Luciano & Ana.. We originally planned to stay for 3 days but Luciano made Rome so inviting that we extended to 5 days then to 7 days and finally on the 10th day we sadly packed up our belongings and moved on to Florence...

We stayed in many B&B's over our travels and one of the distinctive features of this B&B was the daily travel plans that Luciano created for us over breakfast every day...

Not only was their apartment beautiful, tastefully furnished, comfortable, and ridiculously close to Piazza Navona and the Vatican, but Luciano and Ana embraced us like family (which was heartwarming after travelling some time with ours on the other side of the world)...

I cant say enough about our experience at B&B Pascucci - it was certainly one of the greatest highlights of our travels around the world and i cant wait to go back to introduce Luciano and Ana to our first bambino soon to arrive in September...

Basically it comes down to this - if you are in Rome B&B Pascucci is the ONLY place to stay!

One of the highlights of our trip to Italy

from fredandkell

We reserved this delightful apartment through ----. It is located near the Vatican, across from the Castel San Angelo. It was a 10 euro cab ride from Termini Station (beware of unmarked cab drivers - one quoted us 45 euro to get here!) and about a 5-7 euro cab ride from everywhere else. It is located on a quiet side street across from a very good restaurant. They live on the 3rd floor (no elevator) in a lovely, well-decorated apartment. Unfortunately we did not get to meet Luciano as he was in the hospital but Maria was just delightful. She does not speak English but we managed to communicate just fine with an English/Italian phrase book and also using the Internet (we bookmarked AltaVista's "Babel Fish" translator for future guests). My husband speaks decent Spanish and she could understand him quite well, better than when he spoke English. She has a very nice maid who helps out during the day (and speaks decent English) and three lovely cats. One, "Tortellino" was so friendly - he was our surrogate pet when we were over there! I will admit, I was initially hesitant about staying in someone's house. I wondered if we would feel obligated to talk to them all the time and act like one of the family. But Maria left us alone and did her own thing, and if we wanted to talk to her, she obliged, and if we wanted privacy, she let us have it. She gave us a key and said we could come and go as we pleased, although we made it a point to be in by 9:00 p.m. out of politeness. The bed was great - it was a real queen bed, not two twins pushed together. I would definitely stay here again.

Made the trip memorable!

I chose this B&B because everyone said how warm and hospitable Luciano and his wife, Maria, are. Although we arrived late, Luciano looked at us and laughed, "Is there a problem? No problem!" The apartment is from the 1500s as I understand and is on an upscale street near the Vatican and Piazza Navona. Luciano helped us get VIP treatment at an delicious, yet affordable restaurant and also booked our taxi for the airport and waited to see us off. If you are allergic to cats, be advised that they do have cats. Any minor issues with the room were far overshadowed by the wonderful hospitality shown to us. If you are interested in spending your holiday more in a home than a hotel, Pascucci's is the place to stay!

Lociano is the best!

We stayed in Luciano's own room. Although the shower was small, the breakfast minimal, the room and bed were very comfortable. The locatiom was great.I am 60 and not in great shape but found the Spanish Steps an easy walk. The Pantheon, Vatican and Piazza Navona were much closer. The real star of the show, though, is Luciano himself. A more helpful and personable person would be hard to find.

Loved B&B Pascucci

from makrd

Located near the Piazza Navona, the owner of the B&B, Mr. Pascucci is very nice and gives many helpful tips. He informed us of good restaurants, where one can buy train tickets without additional fees, and where one can buy tickets to the coloseum and not have to wait in line. Air conditioning included along with private bathroom -reasonably priced. I would return and will recommend to friends.

Luciano makes rome great

from anonymous

We found Luciano's b&b through tripadvisor and it was a great find. This B&B is close to the vatican. The rooms are nice and the host is fantastic. 1 word of warning don't let the taxi rip you off. We paid too much for the ride from Termini. Luciano was quick to tell us to call him down if the driver wants more then abou 10 Euro.

Once we got settled in Luciano pointed us in the right direction. Every morning he helped us plan our day and every night he showed us where to eat good for cheap. Staying with he and his wife was like having extended family. 2 thumbs up!

Luciano is Tops!

from tqmbill

I have rarely met anyone who brings such joy and enthusiasm to traveling as Mr. Luciano Pascucci. He obviously gets a real kick out of having visitors in his home. A highlight of each day was our dialog with him at breakfast. And he even invited us to share a glass of grappa one evening with his wife, brother and sister-in-law. He made us feel so welcome! It is hard to describe in words, but I promise your visit to Rome will be enriched if you get to know Luciano.

Luciano makes this B&B wonderful

from Travel_JAC

We just returned from a wonderful time in Rome. We enjoyed our stay at the B&B Pascussi. The location is in a wonderful part of town close to Piazza Navona and in walking distance to everything. The quaint tastefully decorated room is very cozy and the bathroom is petite (shower extremely small and faucet needs a little work), but the owner of the B&B, Luciano Pascussi made our experience memorable. He is a delightful host and very helpful to all our needs. Even with his 21 word English vocabulary, it was no problem to understand and communicate with him. He helped us with daily itineraries, made reservations for us, told us how to avoid lines at ticket windows and recommended good restaurants in the area. It was like having a private tour guide.

Very Quiet and close to Vatican

from anonymous

Staying in this Rome Apartment was a highlight of my 2 week vacation in Italy. Luciano was extremely helpful with reserving a cab for us to get to the train station, finding a laundromat, & buying train tickets. He really cares about making the visit pleasant. He speaks a bit of English and we were able to get our points across fine. This is a very quiet area of rome and we walked everywhere from here, to the Vatican, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, etc. I highly highly recommend this bnb.

Incredible! I Loved B&B Pascucci

from anonymous

Staying at the B&B Pascucci was the best decision we made with regards to our trip to Roma! Mr Luciano Pascucci defines the word hospitatlity. He spoke little English, but we had no trouble communicating with him. The room with a bathroom was very beautiful and very clean. The room also a welcome respite from the noise of Roma! I slept better there then I do in my own home. The location can't be beat! We will definately stay here again! I loved it.
