        ... unreal, sun is fierce and not a breath of wind. Afternoons on the balcony are the order of the day, listening to all the birds shouting at each other and arguing over bread dropped on the floor at the cafe by the lake.
        Only downside is having to wait until 7 till the restaurants open. Not easy for two gluttons like us. Had a rubbish meal first night too which is enough to put us in a bad mood for about a week. Italy almost done. ...

Well, I'm sorry this update is a little bit late, I got caught up hiking in the mountains and just having an altogether great time and updating my blog just didn't manage to make its way to the top of my priority list.         ... warming his tyres. It would have been fun to watch but ‘Bo needs a big parking space. We found one outside and Argentinian run pizza house. Not quite the pizza on the Como shore front but probably a lot cheaper!

        The toll roads were our choice across the north Italian Plain. The fees add up but make progress very much faster. We by- passed Milano and Torino. Awful I know but it’s just tooo cold! Next time we’ll plan better and linger. ...

        ... There was nobody else there at the time we visited so we were able to still around the various ruins and take in the scenic views. I was even able to get a 360 degree panorama of the ruins. There were signs around telling you about the various buildings and it seems the fort was never very successful as a defence and it ended up being partly demolished by Napoleon.
