... and that it had to be tall enough so that a person riding a horse could easily pass under it. I suppose that the areas between the walkways in those days were possibly open sewers. Anyway it makes getting around the city easy, and I have enjoyed their shelter during a couple of heavy thunderstorms.

... spot just before the rain came down! At Trattoria de Noemi we had the regional pasta special - pumpkin ravioli - Capellacci Di Zucca which was excellent! ... to relate to. There is a lot to see and some of it for the second time. Of course there is also 20th century Bologna which has less charm, but its historic centre is compact and fascinating.
