... around the corner, Max found a pet shop...of course Max found a pet shop. He reported a tarantula, a friendly cat who came to him for cuddles and chameleons...no reports of a hedgehog though. He took me there yesterday and sure enough the cat comes straight up to him again. He has something special going on with animals this boy of ours. Our plane left at 430pm, so we needed to be at the airport at 230pm. However I was ready to go by 12pm - just a little excited ✈️. Putzed around the house, then Daniel and I went to brunch. We picked up Sarah, Fiona and Terra at 130pm to head to the airport. Even though it was the day of the Gay Pride Parade and a Mariner's home game, traffic was fine. Not much of a security line so we had plenty if time ...

... we visit the third floor where there is an early bi-plane, a De Stijl exhibit, a modest collection of Karel Appel (I learn that I was not too far off when I said that the image in our print reminded me of 'Chicken Little') and a single piece from Yves St. Laurent, the Mondrian dress from 1965. Back downstairs, we look at the monumental 'Battle of Waterloo' a roughly contemporaneous painting (1824) by Jan Pieneman that tells the story of the ...
