... culinary delight. Lunch is had in a little piazza where we feast on local swordfish, tomato and red onion salad washed down with beer of course as its too hot to have wine. After lunch we go back to the hotel and have a bit of a rest before heading to the beach where we have promised Filippo that we would return. They organise umbrellas and chairs for us at €5.20 each; quite a significant discount. The sea is rougher today than the dead calm of yesterday so it ...

Maybe it's the Calabrian in U.S. , maybe not, whatever it is we wouldn't have it any other way! We have lunch at a hot, little restaurant where the owner gives us some hand fans to cool ourselves. Very pleased today to be at sea. It's been non stop for us for over two weeks now - so really nice to just chill and do nothing much. Which is exactly what we did. Looked very ethereal with all the sea mist and the glassy water. Then we sailed ...

... is considered one of the 10 best in Italy and it was great.

There was actually sand on the beach and an amazing dramatic backdrop with the cliffs and houses rising up behind us.

We had a great time swimming and sunbaking here.

We found a small shopping centre nearby and yes maybe I spent too long in there for the rest of the family,
but we hadn't shopped for ages and I did need ...

    Tropea

We arrived at a place called Tropea.
The unit we are staying in is a hotel with a pool and a bar.

We hopped into the pool as soon as we got there.
The pool looked shallow and Mum said we can only do crocodile but I can only just touch the bottom with my toes.

We stayed in the pool all afternoon and played shark zoo game and I am a Great White Shark.
