Day 4 - Florence & Pisa

First in the agenda was a drive to Piazzale Michelangelo where we got the most incredible panoramic view of Florence. It was simply breathtaking looking down into the city! Then we wandered off and had coffee, snacks, and of course some gelati again at the piazza! The piazza was even more alive on Sunday morning with street performers, musicians and hawkers.

This pretty town has two towers of the Rocca that were rebuilt in the twelfth century. The older tower was converted into a bell tower when the Duomo Di Santa Maria Assunta e San Genesio was built. This Duomo has been recently renovated and is now in magnificent condition.

... at the spicyness in their throats - was pretty funny. Although I didn't mind it I think I much prefer it with a dab of bread. Delicious. Next was the wine and while the whole room was told to wait to try it until everyone to had a glass the weird girl from before sculled hers like a hero and then started on about how good it was. WAHHHH

... fell outside. From there, I went to a bar called Salamanca which served some truly amazing sangria. Finally, to cap the evening, I was treated to the joy of a "secret bakery." These are bakeries which sell cornetti and other baked goods under the table very late at night as a way to make some nice tax-free money. Absolutely delicious.
