... people how to get to A-19 A-20, all said they didn't know. We pulled out of the rental car lot, went into the round about and there was the sign to A-19 a-20. One of the rental car attendants had said you will have to call the hotel and have them come get you. When we got to the hotel we decided to take the bus to Monreale so we asked the concierge about the bus. We needed to buy tickets in advance at at tobacco shop, but they were all closed on Sunday. ... lazing on the beach just not yet. Back to the room for a good cooked brekky and we then hit the coastal road further west along the north coast of Sicily. We found a cute little locals place for a coffee stop and then found a spot right on the beach as the sun was setting for our late lunch.

We knew we were in Palermo once we hit traffic. We then noticed the rubbish in the roads, the run down places, and the dodgy characters walking ...

The fire starts and stops…flickering out into a damp soggy black mess every four or five minutes. We pour lighter fluid on the flames to get them to start. Nothing. It lights, it goes out. We try newspaper, paper towel, even ripping pages out of the kids coloring books (hey don’t judge…they never look at them after they color them). Nothing is working. This fire won’t start! ...
