This morning we visited casa di capuleti or Juliet's house as we know it. This is where the movie letters to Juliet was filmed one of my favourite movies!! This is the last leg of our Italian adventure. Left Venice this morning by water taxi from our hotel to the train station. After a short train journey arrived in Verona. Our hotel is a beautifully converted palazzo very grand!!! Of course we had to explore the shops first although shock and horror there is no Prada!! ... to the historic arena, locked up the gear and
started to stroll. We had a coffee in a pavement café in front of
the arena, and wandered down the shopping streets until we came
across the market square. More coffee, or maybe beer followed.
Every street we turned down led to a hidden square, fabulous old
architecture or something else of interest. This city proved to be
the unexpected gem of the holiday and it was a pity we did not have
more time.
