... people how to get to A-19 A-20, all said they didn't know. We pulled out of the rental car lot, went into the round about and there was the sign to A-19 a-20. One of the rental car attendants had said you will have to call the hotel and have them come get you. When we got to the hotel we decided to take the bus to Monreale so we asked the concierge about the bus. We needed to buy tickets in advance at at tobacco shop, but they were all closed on Sunday. Very mixed city....
... caught the 8pm ferry across to Naples because it worked out cheaper and quicker than driving back through Sicily and up the boot of Italy. We were supposed to arrive at 8am, only to be awoken from our cabin at 06h00 because we'd made good time during the night. It was then onto Barrea in the mountains!

Go West life is peaceful there
... lazing on the beach just not yet. Back to the room for a good cooked brekky and we then hit the coastal road further west along the north coast of Sicily. We found a cute little locals place for a coffee stop and then found a spot right on the beach as the sun was setting for our late lunch.
We knew we were in Palermo once we hit traffic. We then noticed the rubbish in the roads, the run down places, and the dodgy characters walking ...

... br> As the weather turns warmer and the romance of the fire has crashed and burned (pardon the pun) we are ready to be warm. We are ready to stop checking and knowing about wind direction. ... in the mountains about 45 minutes from Palermo. It was so nice to get out of the city and experience the "real" Sicilian village lifestyle. The day was filled with sunshine, wonderful views of the city below and delicious donuts in a street side café.
