    ... But it is actually quite good – spacious room and people are nice and friendly. We took the bus into the city centre and it was relatively ‘chiusod’ to start off with. However we eventually found a café for lunch and had enjoyable pizza and a tasty salad. Craig also spotted our very first sfolliatelle and it was very nice indeed – along with coffee. Yum.

    ... two drummers, and the lead guitars were playing so fast it was incredible, brilliant musicians. And oh, it was VERY loud too. Sadly, it had decided to rain, so the audience wasn't as big as they surely deserved, but those of us who were there certainly appreciated their efforts. As the concert was free, the price we paid was getting soaked on the walk back to the car, at least the rain was warm.

    ... pleasant. No sign of earthquake damage. Lots of old buildings. Pleasant shops, laid back traffic and people on cycles. Loads of coffee bars and places to eat and lots of pedestrian only areas. Even found somewhere to park. Sat and had coffee outside municipal offices in main square and got caught up in wedding. Family of five foot midgets in posh becks high heel shoes. Limo parked on cobbled square. Interesting watching pigeon ...

    ... concerned as more and more trucks and cars converge.. Bertha plods along. Rocket Ron behind. Sooner or later truck decides to pull out into this mess without signalling in front of Bertha. Needless to say after three hours of this kind of driving, when I arrived in modena decided to stay for two nights until trucks are banned from roads for weekend.....
