      We then went to the dock and boarded a sternwheeler for a 3 hour cruise through the 1000 islands. That is their name but there are actually 1800 islands and they all have summer "cottages" if you can call them that. Many are very grandiose, up to 7500 sq. ft. More like mini castles than cottages.       We've been back and forth to Golden Lake Camp four times this year - for Frederick. Frederick went to camp twice this year (so there and back - twice each).

      We'll be back and forth to Golden Lake Camp again.. so total for this summer will be six times.. lol

      We're not complaining though.. Golden Lake Camp is a great camp.. offers lots of fun activities ...

      ... It was funny to see Marcy's face when I explained what the ceramic pot underneath the bed was used for! Libby really liked using a fountain pen and ink. She wants one for Christmas. The activities for families to participate in were too numerous to mention. The Discovery Centre had really cool interactive audio visual displays that we all enjoyed. Great value for the entrance fee. Now off to Ottawa to catch up with friends from ...
