... are talking about a country that is famous for its beer, chocolate and waffles. I must be partially dutch because this ticks all of my boxes! ... seaside in the town of Vrouwepolder. The road to the beach has been closed in this little town because of the Delta Project—a huge project to build dams and dykes to control the sea better. So we drove up the road but the only restaurant was a little fish and chips place that had many tourist cars in the parking area. ... the waffles we headed off with our map and found ourselves just ambling along in no hurry at all. We visited the old fish markets which had some stalls set up and I nearly bought myself a ring but sadly it was a little too small for my poodgy fingers. They were not poodgy before I ate the waffles!

... line of cars with darkened windows was waiting to take DC and his retinue to wherever they were going and we were reduced to the ignominy of having to line up for a taxi.
What do you think about that, now! We didn't get his autograph. We got nothing except a very nice dinner and a lot of amusement. And I'm hoping you can enjoy the story too.
