    ... this morning is.... We sailed for about 2 hours, and as quickly as the wind appeared....it disappeared.... And we concluded our crossing about 4:00p.m. with the sighting of the lighthouse at the entrance to the harbor at Santa Maria de Leuca.     Up and out to a awesome view over the cliffs, all our fellow cars from the restaurant car park had moved on and we were the only ones left, next stop, toilet, coffee and sea. The blend of participants included many professionals, e.g., an eye doctor, an osteopath (grazie Stefano per il tuo aiuto con il mio pulso), a journalist and a documentary film maker, and people in sales and marketing, tourism, IT related stuff, etc.. There was also a range of yoga experiences. Many had attended retreats in Europe and beyond as a regular practice. Others specifically following our teacher Tina around to the various retreats ...

    Gallopili was an island fortress, with only a bridge link to the mainland. The castle was currently not open. However, we enjoyed walking around the walls, hanging onto hat and sunglasses so as not to have them blown away, retreating to the narrow streets when we needed a breather.
