We then strolled back towards home, passing through a Tango dance exhibition and resisting the urge to show-off with our skills (*cough cough* - they are pretty rusty and have been retired since 2005). What else can I say? A great day in an endearing little town. Next stop - Brussels.

... brought us small pieces of wood with chunks of fresh herring and onions to eat—this is a delicacy in this part of the Netherlands. The waitress said the herring season had just begun and this was fresh. It was actually very good. For dinner, Mike, Leny, Monique and I chose the stuffed sole (sole stuffed with spinach, shrimp, and cheese and rolled in crunchy bread crumbs then baked)—it was REALLY yummy! Peter had thin slices of fried flounder and Becky had seafood pasta. ...

And I would walk 500 miles.....

... at dinner time, Hansel and Gretel style.
From the fish market we headed toward the Lace Makers Guild which is in the same grounds as The Jerusalem Church. We headed in to watch the lace makers in action and it was amazing. These lady's made the art look so easy and the bobbins were flying at a rate that made it hard to keep up. The lady's that could speak English explained that it was a labour of love and that each piece could take from a few months to a year to ...

After 5am alarm yesterday morning, we left Black Horse Farm Caravan Club site for the 20 minute journey to Dover. The weather was wet and cold - other then in Scotland, I think it is about the only time we have caught a ferry in the rain! Anyway, it stopped as we boarded and left the berth a little later than the 7.35am scheduled time. In view of the dreary weather conditions, we thought we should play safe and put the 'beam benders' on to the headlights in case we needed ...
