... would get a whole apartment for the same price; WOW! not complaining there!

We had a pool in our view, lovely Caribbean breezes day and night, topped off with warm welcoming temperatures around 32 degrees Celcius.

I decided to do some grocery shopping, draw some cash and chill for the rest of the day. Hello Curaçao! :)

My friend, Herman was only to arrive the next day, so I took an early night in, enjoying full custody of the whole apartment!

It's only 30 miles from Aruba so I pictured the ship going in circles since we had all night to get here. We took a 2 hour tour, it was pretty good. Govt is restoring many houses. There used to be a large Jewish population. Willemstad is a World Heritage site. Only 13% income tax. Gas $7 gal. Venezuela rents refinery and makes a fortune but charges ...

Supposed to be hosting a party with the rest of the medical team tonight but don't think I'd survive it! Helped make jelly vodka drinks in spoons and syringes and put red wine into drips and white wine into catheter bags! Finally allowed off the ship! Went out for meal at steak and seafood place with ...

... bride. Many times at weddings, the people add stress to it. I tried to take these hints and do what I could to make things a bit easier on her. The ceremony left it by saying that it is a new moon tonight and that could be perfect for a new start. It helped play into our theme!

We still had about 4 hours of time to sit on our private beach. We definitely did not take this for granted. We had no clue when the next time we would have a ...

... we got a chance to cruise the island and visit some great beaches like Kleine and Grote Knip, and one really nice little beach where we went snorkelling- truly some of the most colours and fish we have seen along the trip (see underwater pics).

We also cruised to the nearby Aloe Vera farm and went for a small safari cruise at the Ostrich farm- the cheesy tourist thing to do, but quite lovely and ...
