Art and beer

A travel blog entry by howardstein

Today we had a short breakfast at a lovely tea room close to our hotel. The hotel has a buffet at a mere $40CAD per person which seems high as we can not stomach more than a light meal after last night's Flemish stew. We are still stuffed. Today we walked the rest of Bruges. We visited the church where there is a drop of Jesus's blood in a rock crystal on some gauze used to wipe the wounds long long ago. After a short stint at the bar, a group celebrating a birthday departed and we pounced on their prime table in the corner with a great view of the action. I remember having a couple of low(er) octane ...

... let them know, and after talking to them over Facebook for the last month or so, we organized it, and I was very much looking forward to it. Anyone ever met someone from Belgium? They are incredibly friendly and welcoming people. So much that after a mere two days of hanging out, I’m spending a week with them, and staying at Joke’s mum’s apartment in my own room, and then Lynn’s mum by the sea in Belgium.
