... and the pure energy that arises from these falls is breathtaking. The setting of the falls is also pretty amazing (though a bit touristy) in lush forests and jungles. One day on the Argentinean side is plenty of time though. The animals are lso pretty cool, they dont seem to have a lot of fear of humans and dont really hide away when they see you.

... pool he was laid there covered in sweat and sold us some tours to the waterfal for a good price but then we couldnīt get rid of him for the next few days which was pretty funny in the end.

We think he was about 70 and he had been travelling around all his life, 5 kids with different wives, a young brazilain girlfriend, and fancied the pants off Nadia. He invited us out for ...

We love U Iguazu!!!!

... that reminded me off only Thunder Canyon would be like the baby ride compared to this. We went through and got soaked and soaked again by the entrance to La Garganta and then we went around the other side and the boat took us facing head on to one of the falls and we got soaked again! It was great! Most amazing experience EVER! I loved it. Hands down my favorite part of the entire trip.

As we were coming off from on side of San Martin Kira, Carlos and ...

11th - 15th August 2009

Left Salta, Uruguay to head back into Argentina on the 11th. The border crossings here are much simpler affairs than in Asia, in this case we got a 1hr bus to Concordia in Argentina, and the bus stopped at the immigration post, we all queued up and got our stamps out of Uruguay, then back into Argentina, Bob`s Your Uncle job done. We waited at the bus station for 5 hrs until the onward leg of our Journey to Puerto Iguazu in the North East. The bus was 45 ...

Iguazu - for the sake of completion!

... town of Puerto Iquazu.Having slept (artificially) on the bus to this town, my partners in crime must have been surprised at my needing another 16hours of duvet time! I still hadnīt managed to shake off the croup and after a hefty dose of vitamin C and some Pepsi I was out for the count! That was until Matt, the English guy in all our photos, decided he would sleep on top of mr for the night! You know the sayin...who needs a bed when youīve got Noel ...

... just thinking about it..)

The next day we headed to the Iguazu falls national park to be amongst our own kind again.. tourists! And there were loads of them.. We went through the jungle in a 4WD buggy thing, and then in a speed boatright up to the falls where we got DRENCHED! It was great fun despite looking like massive dorks in our rainbird and ponchos :) We spent the rest of the day ...

Puerto Iguazu - A thundering start to Argentina

... welcomed with open arms and a 90 day visa!

Shweet. Especially after our first night of 'all-you-can-eat-2-inch-thick-BBQ-steak -washed-down-with-all-you-can-drink red wine' night. (That's what it's called... promise!) Followed by a fun night out with some dudes we met in Rio to test out the the local beer called 'Quilme', pronounced 'kill me'. At 8 pesos per litre bottle = GBP 1.20, we decided Argentina would be a ...

Border town

We covered about 450 kms today and most of the countryside looked very similar to Scotland, must have been the rain and conifer forests! Seriously though it was very much like home. The one thing that we have found is that today the road tolls have been very expensive. We knew that we would have to pay tolls, but they have increased as we have gone west and today we spent some 28 ...

... the shop, despite every single tourist being out in 30 degrees of beaming sun and wanting to buy some drinking water!

I managed to placate Katie as we passed four closed shops on the way home, but I was silently praying that the last chance (the shop by the bus stop) would be open, otherwise I ...
