    Weather: Lovely, warm, sunny.
    The plan for today was some preparation for Sue's birthday party here on Sunday afternoon. Sue's son Stuart came and helped put up 2 borrowed gazebos in the garden and set up tables in the conservatory. He was here for morning tea and a relaxing lunch.     ... the cricket ones are out of sequence and I'm not sure how to change them, sorry)
    And another middle of nowhere cricket ground but with sight screens and covers the envy of many clubs.
    Did someone mention golf? At the Cleeve Hill Golf Club walkers get right of way. The course is littered with walkers as numerous trails cross here and there are heaps of walkers, dog walkers and trail bike riders and the few golfers are certainly outnumbered.

    Our English odyssey (and that's not easy to spell) begins.
    Walking from the airport to a hotel doesn't really count as the start of an odyssey so yesterday became the 'official' launch day. We monorailed, trained, walked (a little), trained, local bused, walked (a little) and arrived.

    • Stratford upon Avon is the most delightful little town with wonky Tudor buildings and a real market town atmosphere. We were a seven minute walk into the town center. Holy Trinity church is the site of Shakespeare's grave and is yet another beautiful English church.
