Avocado Adventure Nelson

Nelson is a very small city im not quite sure how u can even call it a city its so small. i visited its cathedral the only reason its a city after all and then walked around the small city so it didnt take to long to expolre. as my camera broke i took to the camera shop now i finally found one and they diagnosed dirt on the sensor so its not broken its just the ...

... Our mission now was to find ourselves a tour company to take us up to Cape Reinga, and ‘ninety mile beach’ (which our car rental company wouldn’t allow us to drive on incase we got stuck). We phoned a few but after the second phonecall, it became apparent that tour companies weren’t going out because of a severe weather warning, we were gutted! We stopped at a couple of great wineries (bought some souvenirs, too, obviously) and arrived in Nelson at night. We found a cool backpacker place. They had an adjacent place and it was empty, so we had had a whole appartment to ourselves...Great!!

Although we're quite sure that we could have done it in 30 minutes if we weren't exhausted and sore from the previous 4 hours of walking (through jungle, over hills and on non-asphalted walkways!). After getting our feet wet once more getting back into the water taxi, we arrived exhausted and sore at our bed and collapsed for the evening... We might have gone out for food, but we can't remember through the haze ...

... a ferry booked to the north island early the next day so that left just us with Ann and Dan. John our guide and Dale and John who managed the lodge. Another great dinner, good conversation and huge satisfaction at the end of the day. The last day was more walking but with boat rides between bays for lunch and back to the start point. Soso... am 19. jan gings dann los auf die Suedinsel. Am morgen fuhren wir mit der Interislander Ferry von Wellington nach Picton,einer kleinen Hafenstadt im Norden der Suedinsel. Nach drei Stunden kamen wir dann an und fuhren mit dem Magicbus weiter nach Nelson. Eins haben wir sofort gemerkt....Auf der Suedinsel hats verdammt viel Schafe!! Auf der Nordinsel halten sie mehr Rinder wie Schafe....vielleicht wird da einfach mehr geklaut ...

The drive from Franz Joseph to the Abel Tasman National Park was not necessarily long in km/miles but took us quite some time to get there because the road was narrow and had numerous twists and turns plus quite a few one-way bridges. A week or two ago we decided to go on a wine tour. It picked us up right outside our door and brought us to 4 different wineries, some of them even had fruit and cheese platters for us. Lots of different wines to try as well. Pretty good deal for the money. The Nelson province is pretty well-known for it's wine.
