... being on the canal. There are canalfront houses, condos, docks with Adirondack chairs set up on them. There was a marine and kayak rental operation, a big park with lots of people feeding ducks, biking and walking their dogs. I saw more people here than I usually see or have ever seen on any other section of the canalway trail I think. Farther on, the Fairport crew were rowing on the canal. I rode a bit farther ...

... waterfall on the Ganargua River, quite a few steel bridges, locks, a drydock. You couldn't see the canal that well because of the vegetation by the side of the path but it was quite close. The village of Newark had a dock with some interesting murals that I liked. I decided to bike on to Lyons. It was supposed to have murals as well but I only found one in a park next to their docking area.

... we had this experience, and so grateful for all the amazing memories we have made. And it's good to know that Bob and I can spend two weeks together, and I'm sad about going back to work and being away from him.

... flower covered alleys and lush gardens. And I hope we enjoy the cities, truly enjoy them, instead of checking off boxes of places to go.

So yes, I'll be using all our apps. But I'll also try to forget about them unless we really need or want them (so we don't get lost and have to walk along a highway in the dark).

It is a vacation, after all. And, as Bob and I always say to each other, "It's an adventure!"
