... out just fine. We had arranged to meet our neighbours, Bernie and Varya, from Penticton for a short visit and lunch while we were in Montreal. They helped give us a short tour of the old city and then we went out for a late lunch at a quaint street side restaurant. We decided we had to have a Montreal smoked meat sandwich. This is a very famous Montreal tradition and we found it to be very delightful. We saw the Basilica of Notre ...

... up and lounging on the side of the fountain outside the Notre Dame is very inviting. The sound of water running, people watching and all under the watchful eye of the mighty building. Inside is breathtaking with ornate religious paintings and more gold leaf than I could point a stick at. ... queries. Back to the hotel for a short relax before dinner.

Neeta had suggested a Japanese restaurant up on Drummond Street which I decided to try for dinner. The place was called Jardin Sakura and I arrived around 7:30. I ordered a melon Midori drink and the sushi classic. The meal was really nice and I finished around 7:50pm.

Back to the hotel where I got myself ready for ...
