... tour, so for a lot of the time in Montreal, I wasn't feeling great. This may have impacted on my overall feelings about Montreal, so I feel the need to eternal so,e day and do it properly. I did have a good time, despite the constant headache, but probably didn't explore as much as I probably could have. I arrived in Montreal on Wednesday, late afternoon, and headed straight to my hotel. I didn't get in until after seven, and was feeling lousy, so went out for ...

... a smaller chapel. This was their "every day" chapel. The tour guide explained that they only use the front Basilica when they are expecting hundreds of people, but for ordinary mass they use the back chapel. It was just as beautiful but very different. It had an amazing sculpture at the front made from Brass representing Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit. It was quite moving. Samuel remarked that the chapel was nothing like our church; our ...

An overdue update on my travels

    ... these memories).

During my time in Montreal, I was also able to visit Ottawa and Plattsburgh. It was great to see Ottawa as, after living in Canada for several months, it would have been rude not to make a trip to the capital city. Ottawa is the centre of federal political power in Canada and after reading about it for far too many of my political science classes, it was about time I saw the place in person. While in Ottawa, I was able to visit the ...
