Happy anniversary, Jason! An early rise for an early flight...our first leg to Montreal through Ottawa. Excitement runs high for the game tonight:). But first through security and a quick stop at Tims. Movies and games on the planes...and switch in Ottawa. Michael has taken his homework with him and the stewardess is helping with the French Essay. Collin enjoyed watching and photographing the propellers on the small prop plane ...

... ice cream was all the convenience store had to offer for dinner. Not exactly fancy, but my chicken sandwich and cookie dough drumstick seemed to hit the spot. We did decide to pack tonight, rather than leave it until the morning, but this was more so because we were told to meet in the lobby at 7am having had breakfast, and getting up to have that breakfast was going to be a stretch as it was.

Next few entries will be my last birthday celebration and of course Ottawa Capital Pride (parade and festivities) and the beautiful and colorful Gatineau Hot Air Balloon festival - and yes PEI pics are coming as well - it is just that I have been super occupied lately. That will slow down as I am in need of some "me" time (relaxation ...

... is a big shock after being surrounded by so much greenery, to suddenly be surrounded by concrete, but I'm impressed with the restoration of the park. They've created a living environment, a Biodome, out of the old velodrome, and are adding new elements to the park as well. There's a lot to be done, such as adding some plantlife! Right now it's a haven for skateboarders. It's a long hot walk across concrete to get to the entrance to the tower, but the view is worth the walk and the wait.
