We went out for a circle tour of the island. A bus full of tourists with a few that spoke english. Stopped at several photo opps and had lunch along a river on the north shore. After lunch we went snorkeling on the reef and met some turtles. I got a couple on video for you to enjoy. A Macadamia nut farm where we sampled many varieties and enjoyed a cup of Mac/Kona coffee. We saw some famous beaches that Elvis and Barack Obama frequent (not recently in the case of Elvis). There are a lot of millionaires on e island, but most coming from outside - a number of the locals have to wait for a homestead to come up. Like a lot of places, O'ahu is a place ...

... afternoon was a beach afternoon - Mase and the boys hired boards again and surfed the waves. Jo and I wandered down the main street to Duke's Marketplace and had a look through all the tiny stalls squished together between two hotels. We saw beautifully carved woodwork items - chopping boards, jewellery boxes etc; leather goods, hideous floral dresses with ruffles at neck, sleeves and hem taking me back about 100 years. The dress style seemed to be what the local ...
