      ... organised.
We were there when the gates opened at 7am and left at 5pm when the gates closed. While we were on the USS Missouri the skies opened up and we got saturated. It was pouring for a couple of hours while we were inside the ship doing the tour.

On the way home had to call back into the outlet shopping centre to pick up a couple of other things.

      A really interesting day.

Happy New Year to you all...Aloha

... took lots of photos to show you from Hanauma Bay. Things have certainly changed there in 20 years, although the bay still looks the same and the water is still as beautiful and blue as I remember it.

The difference now is that you have to pay $7.50 to get in (if you are 13 or older - Steph just made it!). We also had to watch a short DVD presentation on how to care for the reef and what different types of fish were etc. Then we could pay an ...

... saw one girl walking topless through a beach park and nobody paid attention to her. There are also a lot of people with big and colorful tattoos in Hawaii.

In my opinion Hawaii has a really nice vibe like a few destinations in the world. Itīs a mix of the following components: very relaxed (surfers), never-ending summer (beach) and traditional (Polynesian culture). The best way how to define Hawaii and its people is to use their favorite motto: “No shoes, no shirt, no ...

... the presentation, we had lunch on our balcony - PBJs again. It was very nice overlooking the lagoon and having lunch. Then we went down to the beach for a few hours until it was time to get ready for dinner.

Speaking of dinner. This is the first time all week that we actually had a decent dinner. We drove to a local restaurant overlooking the ocean. I got out the car to check it out. Too hot for me, so we drove down the main ...

Part of the trip was to take us to the gardens which we wandered around taking in the beauty of the many waterfalls, and colourful vegetation and heat! Thankfully I had taken a bottle of water to keep hydrated.A lunch was provided once we'd all been round the gardens which was very tasty and much appreciated.

The bus back to the ship had to leave by 2pm as we were sailing by 2.30pm.

What a lovely day we had
