This morning I seemed to get lucky. I got a full breakfast when everyone else was told they could have a muffin or croissant. Waitress must have gotten mixed up. Was very nice. We drove through the the Garden District then the Bayou on the way to Vacherie where the Plantations are. There are still a few Plantation homes along the drive. We went to Oak Alley Plantation, the one with rows of oaks lining the drive up ...

The other people on the tour brought up all the new swamp shows on TV. There is one called Swamp People that has folks from around this neck of the woods. One of the people on the show, Liz, is Wayne Jr's friend. He joked that he's too pretty to be on the show cuz he has all his teet. LOL

Wayne said that alot of the routes he took thru the swamp (not that ...

... this bridge. There wasn't much to see, just open water. The guys said it would be comparable to going over Milac Lake if it had a bridge over the middle of it.
We arrived at the Poche Plantation and Cottages RV Park in Convent, LA located on the Mississippi river, later in the afternoon (Tuesday, March 8th). This RV park was a working plantation in it's day with some of the buildings converted into a bath house/laundry/library and ...
