... Irish pub while watching the hockey and playing more cards. A guy at the bar recognised the game we were playing so we ended up playing with him and his mate. Andre was from Ottawa and Mike was from Toronto but visiting Ottawa for business and to see his friend.

Fun with Art
On Grandmama and Grandpapa's last full day in Ottawa, we enjoyed a lovely brunch in the morning with Sarah and Dave, and then headed off for some culture at the Art Museum. There, Marsha received her introduction to the "Group of Six" - several artists who loved to paint nature. We spent our time mostly in the Canadian art section of the museum, and vowed to visit the other, international side when we next return.

Can't See The Telephone Pole For The Tea

... a while to queue!!) and from there we saw a view of the entire city, which was fantastic.
After the parliament, we had a tour around the city, seeing the Rideau Canal, Major Hill's park, the peace monument etc. We finished in the Byward Market, where we were given 3 hours free time to eat and explore.
After eating I went with some others to see the Notre Dame cathedrale, which was magnificent, followed by a beer on the terrace of a bar in the sunshine.
