Historical Traveler Reviews of Auberge Les Passants du Sans Soucy Montreal
Nice stay at Auberge les Passants de Sans Soucy

My boyfriend and I stayed at this clean and p;easant auberge on Friday evening and we had a nice experience. My boyfriend especially liked the very thick door to our room. It was so quiet that we hardly heard a sound the entire time we were there...very peaceful indeed. The breakfast that the gentlemen made was inpressive. The fruit salad was great, many kinds of fruit cut into little squares in a custard dish.
Eight different kinds of juices were offered, I had Passion Fruit and my boyfriend had Orange. Everything was prepared perfectly. My boyfriend's french toast was perfectly golden and sprinkled with just enough confectionary sugar. My smoked salmon omlette was delicious and perfectly folded. Crusty and warmed plain and chocolate croissants.
Made some great memories...

My 18 year old son ( a french student in High School) and I drove to Montreal to tour McGill University (my son's first choice in college selections). My son wanted to be able to converse in French and the owners were so friendly and accommodating! The entire city was! First class accommodations and first class service, the breakfast was superb. The owners were very professional and helpful and extremely cordial and warm. The setting was superb. Beautiful place to stay in a beautiful city.
Simply perfect

Couldn't have asked for anything better.
The location was perfect. It's right in the middle, and walking distance, of all the major attractions (IMAX, the old port, Notre Dame Basilica, etc.)
The hosts were very hospitable, always aiming to please.
The room and hotel was very cozy, clean and spacious (the photos don't do it justice).
The morning breakfast included was plentiful and good.
This auberge is a must for first timers of seasoned travelers.

Marvelous little inn. Well priced and centrally located. Excellent omelettes. Interesting art gallery in the reception. Very friendly.
A wonderful hotel

This is a fantastic hotel, great location in Old Montreal, spacious clean rooms and an excellent freshly prepared breakfast. The hotel is intimate and the owners extremely helpful in all ways. Excellent value too, paid about £70 for a twin room. Well located, about 5 minutes from the metro and a ten minute walk to the main shopping area. Cannot recommend highly enough.
What a way to travel

We had a marvelous stay. The proprietors were welcoming and well prepared. Our rooms (the suite) was on the ground floor. While we could hear the revelers outside in the evening, it was not enough to be bothersome.
The rooms bear the marks of history with the distressed door frames and exposed beam ceilings. But the floors and bathroom tile are all marble.
We were quite comfortable.
Breakfast was delicious. And the service was impecable. Early enough to catch our flight out on the last day and late enough that we did not worry about over sleeping during our stay.
Our hosts were able to recommend several places for dinner and entertainment. We will be back, probably next year.
Fabulous B & B!

Auberge du Sans Soucy is the place I always stay when I go to Montreal. The rooms are spacious and cozy with old-world detail. The location is perfect, in walking distance to delicious restaurants and an English-speaking theater, not to mention their breakfasts cannot be beaten!

What a wonderful place! It is cozy, romantic and just gorgeous.
Set in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal), it is surrounded by old French colonial architecture and cobal stone streets making it probably one of the most charming hotels/bed and breakfast in Montreal.
The owners, Daniel Soucy and Michael Banks, and their staff's hospitality exceeds anyone's expectations.
Their freshly made-to-order breakfast makes for the perfect beginning to every morning during your stay.
By far the best place I've ever had the pleasure of staying in.
A great Bed & Breakfast

My wife and I recently visited Montreal and stayed at Auberge les passants du Sans Soucy in old Montreal. We would highly recommend this bed & breakfast if visiting Montreal. It is located in the heart of old Montreal and all of the major attractions and restaurants are within walking distance. It is located near the Metro and the waterfront. Our hosts were extremely friendly and helpful with directions. The breakfast, which is included, was great, and offered many delicious options. If you visit Montreal, definitely stay at Auberge les passants du Sans Soucy - it is well worth the price!
Fabulous B&B!

Auberge Les Passants du Sans Soucy was truly the best B&B we've every experienced. The room was large and beautifully decorated with original stone walls and offered a view of the horse-drawn carriages on the streets below.
Breakfast was served with a smile each morning that the food was as delightful as the service. We would highly recommend the Sans Soucy and will most definitely return!
