Oh Canada!

... or e-mail me. They are not fun!

Our hotel in Montreal is great and very biker-friendly. The staff is great and the room very nice. The view is not nearly as good as last night but out front of the hotel, there is a nice view of the bridges entering Quebec City.

For those of you praying for our good health and safety, keep it up! We are both feeling great and have not had any close calls or anything. We continue to have a good time and are ...

Voilà, donc on était bien contents parce que à part Bambi, on avait seulement vu deux grenouilles, et un bel insecte tout vert comme les scarabées... (desolee pas de photo!), c'était pas extra alors le bambi est arrivé pour sauver l'honneur!

... faculty was having such an impact on their life and social skills and perceptions was incredible and casts quite a stark light on what it means to be young and youthful and physically functional.
Then there was the neighborhood. The wonderful paradox of the Northeast Kingdom is that neighbors live farther apart than most anywhere else in the country yet are so much more tightly bound and community-like community than people whose apartments share walls and ...

... we came upon the ocean. Finally, after about 6 hours in the van we got to our next home away from home, a cute little cottage like motel in Bar Harbor Maine complete with a pool and hot tub within 5 minutes of the ocean. We arrived at about 8pm and quickly threw on our swim suits so we could try the pool before closing at 9. Heidi, Jay and Mom all swam in the large round outdoor pool as dad watched from the sidelines. The weather was cold and rainy so we rounded out ...

... is instead the globe of the Brazilian flag, it is hard to explain but I will upload a picture soon. We also had our musical production on Thursday September 20th. Much to our surprise there was a full house, in fact more than a full house, as there were about 30 children sitting on the ground in the front row. I had wished that after our production, I could wipe the play from my memory, but to no avail as the entire ordeal was filmed, and we are each going to receive a ...

Back to the routine...

Hey, I apologize to everyone who have been waiting patiently for the past few weeks for an update. I know it is ************* with your lives without knowing about mine. Here goes... Just like I mentioned last blog, I ran my second English course with the Beninese. It is going well. We mostly just play games in English, and I teach them bad words. We laugh a lot, and by the end they learn a few essential phrases and rules. I also had the opportunity to participate ...

Drunk tank anyone?

... anyone :) My appreciation for being alone has absolutely skyrocketed over the last few years. As has my appreciation for the great Canadian outdoors. It may have been one of the best holidays ever. I think I combined most of my favourite things to do. Snowboarding, hanging with the dearest of friends, making new friends, diving and essentially lending myself some freedom. I wouldn't have traded hanging with Emma for a month in Mexican hostels or dive sites. We ...

yes, I'll have some more wine

Time to make some wine!! Every year, we try to make some 50 gallons or so of some wine combinations. Usually the guys decide what wine to make and what grapes to get, then we get started! Its really fun because although we dont squish the grapes like they do in vineyards, but while making the new batch we get to drink last year's batch!
