I was not looking forward to entering this dark and evil forest. Who knows what creatures were dwelling in this horrible place. It also doesn't help that Gandalf had to leave us to. It was now only the dwarves, Bilbo, and I. We decided not to waste any time and we went into the ...

... As we reached the valley of the mountains we would have to pass, I noticed a tenseness in the air, and looked up worriedly at the sky. A storm was gathering and it looked like rain would fall any minute. We found a relatively dry cave, and decided to camp there for the night. I suspect that this is yet another instance when the solution is quite the opposite of my inclination -- I tend to focus on myself, my failure, my inadequacy to the task; but what is needed is to focus on Him, His adequacy that is promised in every circumstance, His strength in my overwhelming weakness. Christmas. Just two days off, and I was not bothered by it until I came ...

    ... trip this weekend.

Ok, this is a simple entry and just wanted to really give some solace to the tragedy of a few weeks ago as a lot of people around here are still discussing it.

Hope all is well and until next entry…and lots more to come…another wedding and pool night and a friend’s b’day extravaganza etc... to discuss. Hope you all enjoyed the Tomato Wars pic in the last entry…it was a blast…

    Love you all…
