... well. They were from Lativia. One guy spoke very good English and gave me a block of chocolate for helping them. Very nice chocolate it was too! We explored the other side of the canal from Agen for another couple of kilometres before heading back and tying up just before the base. Had a quiet day today. Headed down the canal to le Mas-d'Agenais. Just three locks to negotiate. Wandered around the village looking for the Romanesque church of St-Vincent. This church has an original painting of Rembrant. Hard to see in the dim light of the church - it was of the crucifixion of Christ. After lunch headed back to Damazan. ... village - just long enough to realise that everything was closed until 3.00. Nothing else to do but head back to the boat and have a grandma/pa nap!
