    ... Desserts included tarte au pithiviers, tarte aux pommes (Apple) and tarte au citron (lemon) as well as the different types of pastry. The week ended with us making a mini croquenbouche! Did you know that French chefs buy in the choux buns instead of making their own? During the week, we also got to see some of the surrounding countryside.     ... in a jar, cut French loaf into slices, slice cheese open bottle of red and ate... Some said it was lovely, ......me...I liked best the jar of crepe suzettes in almanac which I had for an unexplainable reason bought earlier in the day in Letoure .....food eaten, tummies almost full, wine finished very quickly between three...time for bed. There was a few undulations as they are referred to by others but in our eyes they are certainly hills.......the finally climb into Auvillar was one final haul but we made it to our rather nice accommodation in the centre of the very small town..at the clock tower. After a much earned beer and shower we went walking the town and what a treat it was with wonderful medieval arches , market place and Romanesque church.. ...

    We have decided to stay two nights in Moissac which is a great luxury which means we can catch up on washing, planning, sleeping and generally getting organised. Terry is really able to get some rest because for some inexplicable reason she has not been quite well for twenty four hours.     ... It was a really special tour with lots of happy memories. I had a few hours to fill in before my pick up for the train station.
