poff to lunch at Bernard's again! We're wise now, and don't fill up on sop at beginning! Appetisers, soup, warm duck salad, pork with prunes, apple tart and creme brûlée! Gorgeous, well worth the wait!
We would all have liked a siesta! But we were booked onto the 3.30 tour of the chateau. So off we marched, limped and slogged! It wasn't a goo tour, principally as it was in French with a few english words scattered ...
... here for dinner, just had 30 mins to move rooms, away from the scary staircase!
dinner was back at Bernard's restaurant, raspberry aperitif, selection of pates, sorbet, the cassoulet we had made on Monday, then cheeses then crepes suzettes which we had to flambé ourselves! Don't worry Delyth. No fire alarms went off!
managed to get to bed quite early, and really lovely not having to negotiate the stairs for a pee!

... had specific goods to buy, I had to get 6 red apples, 6 lemons, 2 carrots and some green beans. That was fun. The primary school we passed has their menu for the weeks school dinner on the window - no chicken nuggets here! The teachers have wine with lunch apparently!
Then to Lectour, a spa town for lunch in a local cafe - ...

This area is duck city , they eat it about 2 or 3 times weekly, and then when they go out, they eat duck! Duck and garlic are the local specialities. Mind you, their ducks are no cute things, they average 8kg in cooking weight, that is one big duck! That's the size of a small turkey!
