... and read a book. Breakfast was at a well patronised diner bacon and eggs coffee etc interestingly I ordered French Toast as to me it's bread that has been cooked with egg. Well French toast in Louisiana is not that at all. It's toast with butter and cinnamon coated with icing sugar and served with maple syrup doesn't really go with a fried egg but it was good anyway. Declan's egg Benedict was different as well with a weird hollandaise sauce, that wasn't improved by the ...

Having been in the go for 3 weeks straight today is an official Rest Day. We are staying at the Ramada (would recommend to anyone). Huge place complete with convention centre. So no alarm this morning but still up by 8am and breakfast in the hotel, eggs bacon, fruit, coffee, juice... Back to the room for a read and a snooze. Room was made up whilst we were out very efficient. Caught an Uber into town for lunch at Jolies Bistro, up market but not overly ...

We looked for four hours, it was almost 9pm and totally dark, she was lost forever! We are so sad.

... s a wait for a table and the service isn't as attentive or friendly as before but, it's not bad and the food is, once again, really good. P even has his first fried green tomatoes.

P really wanted to watch the game that night and I was done after lunch so, we enjoy the quiet life around the B&B, sipping wine on our porch swing with Cat, before picking up food at Poche's and eating in. Tomorrow we're headed back to New Orleans.
