We arrived at the Lincoln Super 8 and all is well! We were on the road this morning at our usual 8:00 AM. FGM was perky and 100% plus! The trip was pretty routine. “Abe’s” Navigation System tried to take a “vacation” and we got slightly lost finding the motel here in Lincoln. First we put the wrong Super 8 in as Destination (operator error, we admit). This listing was for another I-80 exit but we could not see ...

... is that Lincoln Nebraska is closed on a Sunday morning. It really was dead! No sign of life (well a bit, but not much).

We did the sites, which included the capitol building, the Governor's Mansion, the Sunken Garden and - my favourite - the university agriculture dept. dairy store to pick up ice cream.

K's choice - The American Museum of Speed - was, you guessed it, closed on weekends! Shame!

I attended the 2012 International Clarinet Association ClarinetFest in Lincoln, NE. It was a very well organized conference. I ended up meeting a lot of new people and saw a lot of old friends. I was even able to go to Omaha to see some old Air Force buddies. Overall, a great trip!
