... warning you! The Laurel Point Park near the harbour entrance now houses a modern hotel, but originally it was a First Nations Squamish burial ground. The man who bought it and cleared away all of the trees, disrespectfully throwing into the harbour or piling up and burning the remains of the ancestors, lived to regret this choice....the furniture factory he built burned to the ground one night with no apparent explanation.
