Had lunch at a wonderful Asian Buffet in Port Angeles in the plaza at the south end of town where JoAnn and Big Lots is -- if you're ever over that way we would recommend it. For $8.99 a person it included the usual Chinese options but also a good sushi selection and even a Mongolian grill area.

... just outside Victoria in the morning - acres and acres of different divine types of gardens - an Italian garden, a Japanese garden, a rose garden and various other styles.

In the afternoon, we took a float plane scenic flight over Victoria and the south east peninsula of Vancouver Island. Taking off from the water of the harbour was a novel experience for both of us but the take-off and landing were both very smooth indeed. ...

... Halloween. Canadians get together, cook a turkey and drink a lot of alcohol. My friends and I decided to make a Turrducken ( a duck inside a chicken inside a turkey). Although a little burnt, it was fun and still edible. It was a great excuse to have a party and dress up to enjoy the long weekend.

-Halloween: Also my first real Halloween experience, as it's not celebrated quite as much as in Canada and the States. I was lucky enough to have two weekends ...

Woke early for a disembarkment 'meeting' at the crew office. Had to hand over my laminex and pay my tab on the snacks I bought at the crew store last week. Need to wake up at 5am tomorrow and do immigration and then be disembarked by 9am after turning in my blue card and having security check my luggage. That means I'll be in Seattle tomorrow carrying my duffel and bag around until around 4 or 5pm when ...
