    ... a great store and a great tour of their factory...making chocolates, caramel corn, cookies, pears and putting it all into gift baskets. 1600 employees..up to 8000 at Christmas time.

    Then we hit a few places recommended by my high school friend, Pegi. First to Si Casa Flores for some great Mexican food...got a doggie bag filled with more than we ate ...

    ... our guide and van driver met us out front of the rv park and after picking up another couple in town we headed north to the set in point on the Rogue River. It was a great first experience for the kids. Arden explained how to handle everything from getting stuck in eddys to what to do if we flipped...and took us from smooth water all the way up to a couple of class 4 rapids. It was a lot of fun and I'm sure they will want to do it again. ...

    ... to fix the still faulty spotlamps on which I had spent hours of so far fruitless
    labour in trying to trace the fault. I had even bought a new relay for the circuit guessing as it turned out wrongly that the existing one was the culprit. The wiring all checked out for continuity OK yet no power was getting past the relay. Mystery. Let Bend Rovers sort it!
