We made it! ok granted not a very long drive from Chicago/Naperville, about 5 hours. With all our stops I think it took us about 6 hours. The RV park we're at is pretty basic, carved out of a residential subdivision. Everything is paved, all sites are full hook up, no pool, no kids activities, etc. Perfect for our purposes as we won't be spending a lot of time here. Left Springfield this morning and took the original 1926-1930 Route 66 which was based on Illinois Route 4. This branch of Route 66 has been returned to the original Illinois Route 4 designation.
