    Amazing Antwerp

    ... WW I and how the people had to evacuate Belgium to France and England and other places. It was really devastating and the pictures are really striking.

    From there, a cathedral, of course with amazing art work. We also had time in their Grand Place to wander around.

    It's a pretty city, smaller than Brussels but very similar in nature.

    ... but soon our Target was insight and we had to go to the top to get stunning views of Antwerp and its port,after having a Captain cook (that's a look) we headed back down to a bar and the first one was still in the sun so we headed to the one next door, we sat down and ordered beers all round and the waiter looked a bit QUEER till Baz dug me in the ribs and whispered in my ear and i watched the mob of blokes over near the door and they all were very happy and gay type ...

    In mid-October we were lucky enough to have both of our mums come to visit!

    On their first weekend in London we went and saw Phantom of the Opera on the Friday night. Sadly Brad had a dramatic encounter with some muggers and was unable to join us. Perhaps one day we will make it to there again so he can finally see the Phantom of the Opera in London. :)

    Kane has been more than amazing, patient and understanding throughout all the dramas. He admitted his first (internal thought) reaction when I told him my bag wasn't there at Cafe Bizon was "What are you doing child?!?!" which is a fair enough reaction to have, as it is something only a child could do...but after that he was calm and matter-of-fact about it, and becasue no money was stolen he didn't see any point worrying about ...
