Today was about relaxing. We left the hotel at 11am after a leisurely breakfast and slowly walked the mile down the front to the far end of venice and the public gardens. We sat for a while in the cafe before transferring to the restaurant, which for a restaurant in a public park must be one of the most spectacular views from a park restaurant Looking over the lagoona with the ...

... man standing at the information desk. Apparently information isn't what he's there for. He just shrugged and walked away. Asked someone else with a TransItalia uniform on and he said 'go to change desk'. Ok, we figured we were talking the wrong language and he didn't know what we wanted. Lined up at the public bus ticket machine for 15 minutes thinking we'd pick them up there. Nope. No prepaid tickets here. So maybe we should try the change desk after all. Finally, ...

... we came closer to the island we saw the leaning campanile.... Bit like the leaning tower of Pisa ! Had a look at the shops selling tablecloths and lace etc. Had a cuppacino and a sit down before walking around admiring the colourful painted houses...and the washing....and of course the reflections in the canals. After a full morning in Murano, Simon was keen to get back to Venice. So about 3.30pm jumped on a ferry back. I now ...
