    Finally and a bit exhaustedly jumped into a water taxi for a two hour look through the Grand Canal, one of the main waterways for all sorts of water-based traffic. The Water Busses (ferries) plus Water Taxis, gondolas (and no we didn't spend 80 euros or $120 for a 'basic 30 min trip) and hundreds of other craft go up and down its 4km length. It is an amazingly busy and vibrant place to watch the action happening. ...

    ... and frankly "indescribable" Venice was and how it was the most beautiful city in Italy. I am sure that December was not the ideal time to visit Venice but I wanted to get in one more trip before my graduation and the Christmas break. Quindi, io vado a Venezia!

    Continuing our travels we departed Cephalonia and arrived next morning on the famous island of Corfu. It was Easter Sunday and the town was alive with locals as well as cruise ship passengers.     ... it We then headed to the train station to book our tickets to Rome then to Cinch de Terra. From there to Nice. However we couldn't get the Nice to Barcelona ones because we had to go onto the Spanish websites. So we are sorted for the next couple of days till my birthday.     ... When we arrived back into square about 45 min later there was a lot more water! Free time for 2.5 hours! Found a resteraunt and had first Italian pizza with tomato base, mozzarella, basil, capers and black olives. Bellisima. When we got out of resteraunt the sun had dissapeared and it had started to rain again! Went back out to st Marcos square and now the whole square was covered in water.
